Note: This article is similar to the Ludwig pattern hair loss stages, but more of four stages to natural hair growth.

What are the 4 stages of hair growth?

The typical person’s scalp contains about 100,000 hair follicles and develops around 1/2 inch of hair every month. To get natural hair growth, combining it with the human growth process is more straightforward. The first three years of a person’s life are typically considered the most active growth years, during which the individual develops hair slowly until they reach adolescence.

Here are the four natural hair stages to help you better understand how your natural hair develops:

1. The First Stage – The Anagen Phase

Our hair length is determined by the growth phase, which lasts two to seven years.

This is the major development stage for natural hair. Before the hair follicles become dormant, your hair grows fast from the roots for an average of 3-5 years. Hair growth might range from 18 to 30 inches at this period of natural hair development. This is because your hair is well connected to the blood vessels in your scalp, which provide it with the nutrients it requires to develop.

2. The Second Stage – The Catagen Phase

This stage lasts about ten days. The hair follicle shrinks and detaches from the dermal papilla.

The catagen stage lasts approximately a week and a half. This is the phase of transition that marks the conclusion of the anagen phase.

During this time, the hair’s roots begin to separate from the blood vessels that have been feeding it and the cells that have been growing length to it. It enters the telogen stage when it is completely detached.

3. The Third Stage – The Telogen Phase

The resting phase lasts around three months. Around 10-15%of hairs are in the phase. Whilst the old hair is resting, a new hair begins the growth phase.

The anagen stage has a longer cycle than the telogen stage, often known as the resting stage. This natural hair stage is comparable to the stage of human growth when a person is completely grown physically, sexually, and cognitively. As it prepares to go on to the last natural hair stage, your natural hair would reach its maximum length at this time.

4. The Final Stage – The Exogen Phase

The Exogen represents the period from when a resting hair reaches its terminal position in the follicle to when it finally detaches, The resting hair is gradually loosened resulting in the shedding of the hair.

The shedding process begins at this time in the natural hair cycle.

4 Stages of Natural Hair Growth

This is a normal process in which telogen hairs fall out to make way for new hair to develop via the hair follicle. This would usually last approximately three months. However, you will not lose significant amounts of hair at once; instead, you will lose 50-100 hairs every day.

Currently, 11% of your hair is at the exogen stage, which means it will fall out or be pulled out when styling, braiding or combing.

Understanding Hair Growth Cycles and Hair Loss

We all lose hair every day. 50-100 hair loss occurs when we lose our hair, it is growing again, or when the amount of daily hair loss is higher than usual.

Hair loss can be medications such as chemotherapy or anticoagulants, which the telogen hair stops, or damaged cell division, a natural, can break as weakened hair arises produce. Large doses of vitamin A can also cause hair loss too. The most common hair loss, but the growth phase of the hair follicle, is called the rest (telogen) hair growth cycle.

Generally, continue to grow hair on his head but head off in three stages. The hair is not uniform at once. The various components of the head are in several stages, so at any time, you have hair follicles in three stages. Overall, the majority (90%) of hair is in the Anagennisi stage, the hair 10 to 14% in the telogen phase, and only 1-2% catagen hair.

The first step is the Anagennisi phase, which is one of growth. This can last anywhere from two to eight years. Anagennisi steps to reduce the shorter time to grow hair. Root hair-forming cells divide rapidly, leading to longer hair.

In the next stage, catagen shrinks the hair follicle’s outer root and holds the scalp. The hair growth stops. This stage lasts 1-2 weeks.

Telogen is the resting phase. It takes 5-6 weeks for normal hair. Hair does not grow at this stage but is still firmly in the scalp blisters are resting phase below. New growth begins at the end of rest, and it is, of course, if it happens, hair loss because of the growth of new hair-do of old.

For men, baldness and hair have a longer telogen phase. Effects on the growth of hair loss. The hair gets thinner and shorter until, eventually, the hair follicles are disabled.

How to lower the natural hair stages for hair growth

If you’re in good health, about 88 to 90 percent of your hair is in the anagen stage. Your hair has to stay in the anagen stage for as long as possible if you want years of active hair development and perhaps healthy long hair. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, nutrition, and natural hair care routine can help to lengthen the anagen stage.

Using a natural hair growth oil like jojoba oil to stimulate your scalp every evening can be quite beneficial. Hair breakage can also be avoided by avoiding continual hair manipulation and frequently wearing protective styles such as wigs, ponytails, or twists.

Natural Masks To Grow Long Hair

In the previous article “best shampoo for hair loss”, I discussed some of the factors that you most take on consideration to choose your perfect shampoo, now I am going to talk about the advantages of using a mask before or even after your shower depending on the type of your hair, because most of you desire a healthy long hair, men or women, I wrote this article for you not because I am a doctor or a hair care expert but because I have experience, a Moroccan quote says : ask who had experience not a doctor so ask me !

Now apply those golden rules before you intended to use a mask, and you will be surprised by the results :

The first golden rule : Massage your scalp

Daily scalp massages have been proven to be a very effective hair growth aid, and they REALLY boost hair growth. Just like our skin, our scalp wants to be pampered and moisturized. Good circulation is a vital component within the natural hair growth journey, and scalp massages are an enjoyable way to relax and boost your hair’s ability to grow.

The second one : add gelatin

Add gelatin, which is a natural product, to your favourite drinks and sauces to improve the texture of your hair. Now, after you get that hobbit of those 2 golden rules, you can use a mask to improve your hair growth.

Masks for hair care that have moisturizing properties whose impact is rapid. Two ranges are obtainable: the mask before shampooing and mask once shampooing. In each case, they serve to revive an ailing mane. But more for a mask before shampooing is that you’ll leave for extended ( thirty minutes) and also the formula works well on dry hair.

How to Lengthen your Hair Growth Phase/ Cycle! Why your hair won't grow past a certain length!

For whom? The one suspects a mask before shampoo is not suitable for greasy hair. Rather, it’s advisable to dry and broken hair that desires more care than a deep conditioner in the shower. Additionally, your hair is curly, straight or curly, it changes nothing : you’ll be able to apply a mask before shampoo while not problem, whatever the character of your hair.

Therefore, apply your mask once per week to restore the shine to your damaged hair. If your hair is terribly broken, create a mask every shampoo (two to 3 times per week) till they realize their vitalities. Put on the whole length or just split ends, simply avoid the roots to avoid excessive grease hair. Attach them and then leave for thirty minutes, at best an hour, to deeply nourish.

  1. Most people I talk to are not aware that fast growth shampoos (obviously with no sulfates, no parabens and no DEA) are even a thing. Hair styling enthusiasts can now enjoy longer hair and possess more options. For sure worth checking out.

Whether you’re talking about hair loss, damaged hair, preventing scalp disorders, fast hair growth, hair and scalp care more often than not, almost the same ideas become relevant.

As a rule of thumb, you should try to steer clear of hair treatments and products that use chemicals such as parabens, DEA or sulfates.

What is healthy for your hair is beneficial for your skin all the same.

For obvious reasons your content above is so useful for various reasons. It avoids the common mistakes and mistakes too many fall into: using horrible alternatives. Keep up the great content!
